UNDERGRADUATE COURSES

We offer a holistic academic program for our Madrid and Segovia students. All undergraduates take the Well-being Universal Courses throughout their degrees. We also offer a wide array of optional Advanced Seminars.

The advanced seminars are short, optional courses consisting of six sessions that complement and expand upon our students' education. They have a clear interdisciplinary approach and are aimed at all IE University students, regardless of degree or year of study. The Center offers a range of seminars within this program so students can take a deeper dive into any of our 3 pillars of well-being: Body, Mind and Soul.     YEAR 1

    WELL-BEING IN PRACTICE

    This course is designed to introduce the concept of well-being and its impact in our ability to thrive, be healthy, feel good, connect with our self & others and to contribute to our learning, teams and community at IE & beyond.

    YEAR 2

    ATTENTION MANAGEMENT FOR LEARNING

    This 2-session workshop on Attention for Management Learning aims to build awareness as to what is attention, its different types, how constant distractions and interruptions impact our attention; and how we can replenish our attentional resources and use technology for that.

    YEAR 3

    STRENGTHS-BASED MINDSET

    Building on the Well-being in Practice workshop in year 1 where we focused on the introduction to positive emotions and well-being for personal flourishing, we will continue to consider ways to be our best through the exploration, awareness and appreciation of character strengths.

    YEAR 4

    PURPOSEFUL DECISIONS FOR LIFE'S JOURNEY

    After exploring self-awareness and recognizing the significance of body, mind, and soul, and delving deeply into how our attention is constantly challenged, while learning ways to flourish through our strengths, it is now time to focus on our purpose and the decision-making required to achieve our goals and enjoy the journey.
