MASTERS COURSES

Our center offers a comprehensive academic program for master's students. All master's students take the Well-being In Practice course throughout their studies. Also, we offer optional Extracurricular Well-being Courses.

About the Program

Our students, coming from around the globe to study at IE University must successfully tackle many challenges to take full advantage of their university experience – for example they need to rise to heavy academic demands, integrate socially in a diverse community, find an appropriate work/life balance, and learn to manage stress, ambiguity and change. This program is designed to give IE Master's students a “life advantage”, providing them with a practical understanding and set of tools to boost their performance in the three core areas of Body, Mind and Purpose.

  • Key Information

    • This program is offered transversally to all master programs.
    • These courses are extracurricular. They will not appear in your transcript nor affect your GPA.
    • All courses are 6 sessions long. Attendance is mandatory to obtain a certificate of completion.
    • Spots are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Enrollment Periods

    • October - December 2023. Enrollment open from Oct 3rd to Oct 14th
    • January - February 2024: Enrollment open from Jan 10th to Jan 17th
    • March - April 2024: Enrollment open from Feb 12th to Feb 18th
    • May - June 2024: Enrollment open from April 15th to April 22nd

Well-being in Practice is a two session course designed to introduce the concept of well-being and its impact in our ability to thrive, be healthy, feel good, connect with our self & others and to contribute to our learning, teams and community at IE & beyond. The workshop is focused on how to develop skills to have a better life and invest in being your best self, building on the core concepts of balance, appreciation and perspective.

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

SESSION 1

Well-being and Positive Emotions

Session 1 will focus on the science of positive emotions and well-being. We will present concepts, allow for exploration and share about how to further develop well-being within the IE ecosystem.

SESSION 2

Personal Well-being in Practice

Session 2 of our Well-being in Practice workshop will allow for reflection as to the learning and the practices cultivated since session 1. We will review core concepts and dedicate time to focus on our Personal Well-being Plan, structured around the Body-Mind-Soul framework.
