The 23rd of April is the International Word Book Day, and in the coming days, we are going to celebrate this day with a wide range of activities to share the creative work of some outstanding members of our Community with the IE community.
We will count on top speakers to cover diverse topics such as art, culture, creativity, changes and books, and much more. You will find on Campus and online activities on different platforms, so everybody can take part in this celebration. This culture-fest aims to promote some core values of IE: Technology, Innovation, Humanities, and Diversity. We hope you join us to celebrate the International Book Day and enjoy the pleasure of reading.

Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, We Should All Be Feminists

We are celebrating the International World Book Day discussing “We Should All Be Feminists” by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. Guest Eniola Harrison, a seasoned communication professional Head of Programs and Partnerships at IE University’s Africa Center and Lead for its Africa at IE initiative, will interview host Patrice Juah, a Communications and International Affairs Professional, poet and former IE student.

Throughout the session, different topics present in Chimamanda's book will be discussed, such as feminism, gender behavior, the impact of culture, and experiences about moving up the professional ladder as a woman. Finally, reflections on the Black Lives Matter movement, as well as their experiences regarding IE Diversity Management and Equality, and main takeaways and recommendations for the IE Community.

This exposition aims to share the creative work of our community, and promote IE core values: Humanities & Diversity

1. Visit the Daydreams exhibition located at Casa de la Moneda (Segovia) from 27th April to 7th May
2. Take a selfie with your favourite picture
3. Upload it to your IG Stories and propose an inspiring title
4. Tag us @ieKnowledge. If you have a private account send us a DM
5. Theater Club Book 2020 will be given to the participants (limited units)

In this session, Catalina Tejero, Associate Head of the IE Arts & Humanities Division at IE University, interviews Javier Boné-Carboné, Director, Artists Books, of the prestigious publishing house TASCHEN.

They will celebrate International Book Day exchanging about the future of books and the publishing house commitment to sustainability through Sebastião Salgado’s family project of Instituto Terra.
