Enrique Dans no teme admitir que le gusta ensayar todas las nuevas tecnologías que llegan al mercado. Pero, aunque esto se deba en parte a su interés por los aparatos electrónicos, también se relaciona con el enfoque que el profesor Dans sigue al aproximarse al estudio de la tecnología y los negocios: todo lo que existe a su alrededor suscita nuevas ideas y teorías. “Mi entorno origina mi investigación. Me gusta analizar cómo la nueva tecnología impacta en mí primero”, afirma. “Trato de mantener mi investigación en contacto con la realidad. Hay que tener los pies en la tierra”.

El profesor Dans se incluye además entre quienes ven el "blogging" como un nuevo e importante forum a través del cual se transmiten e intercambian ideas académicas. Es un consumidor ávido de información y se mantiene actualizado sobre los últimos desarrollos en sistemas de información mediante docenas de periódicos y "journals" electrónicos.

En cualquier caso, este enfoque no es una sorpresa, sino que está perfectamente basado en los intereses del profesor Dans sobre la nueva economía, los efectos de la tecnología en el comportamiento de consumidores y empresas, y las consecuencias de los nuevos desarrollos tecnológicos para los negocios en general.

Sus ideas e investigación en estas áreas han sido publicadas en varias revistas internacionales. Los artículos del profesor Dans acerca de las nuevas tecnologías y su aplicación en el mundo de los negocios aparecen con regularidad en la prensa general y económica – y, por supuesto, en su sitio en internet. “Hay muchos temas sobre los que se puede hablar en estos días”, afirma.

David Goodman

David Goodman is Assistant Professor of Architecture, Associate Dean of IE School of Architecture and Design, Director of the Bachelor in Architectural Studies, and holds a PhD in Business Studies from the IE Business School, specializing in Strategy and Organization Theory. His current research deals with innovations in architecture practice and production during times of socioeconomic turbulence. A graduate of the Harvard Graduate School of Design and of Cornell University, Goodman is co-author of the book An Introduction to Architecture Theory: 1968 to the Present.  His work has also appeared in the journals a+t and Log, in the anthology Chicago Architecture: Histories, Revisions, Alternatives, and in the book Walter Netsch: A Critical Appreciation and Sourcebook.

Johanna Jacobson

Johanna Jacobsson is a lawyer specialized in international economic law. Her fields of expertise are international trade law (especially preferential trade agreements, services trade and digital trade) and the EU’s internal market law and external trade relations. Johanna’s current research interests lie especially in the effects of technology and digitisation on international trade and business.

Johanna holds a PhD in European and international law from the European University Institute, Florence (2016). She has previously acted as a law clerk at the Court of Justice of the European Union and been a visiting researcher at the Finnish Institute of International Affairs. She has also practiced law in a commercial law firm and is a regular visiting lecturer at several universities.

Rafael Moreno, Ph.D. in International Relations by the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (ES), B.A. in Journalism; M.A. in Business Administration by the IE Business School (ES), and M.A. in National Defense by the Universidad Juan Carlos I (ES).

I combine my work as freelance journalist with teaching in different Universities and Schools like The IE University (Segovia, SP), The Universidad Complutense (Madrid, SP), and The Spanish Army High Studies School (Madrid, SP).

Nowadays I am Professor of Global Governance & International Organizations, International Journalist, Crisis Communication, Armed Conflict, Peacekeeping and International Negotiations in different Universities and Armed Forces Schools. I have written five books about International Relational and Journalism.

Ruth Palmer

Ruth Palmer is Assistant Professor of Communication at IE University, where her courses include Communication Foundations, Public Opinion and Persuasion, and Political Communication in the Bachelor, and Media Relations in the Master of Corporate Communication. She has also taught in the IE-Brown University Summer Program, and co-directed the IE Communications Lab. Her research explores how people think about and relate to the news media. Her articles have appeared in the journals Journalism, Journalism Studies and Literary Journalism Studies. Her book Becoming the News: How Ordinary People Respond to the Media Spotlight (Columbia University Press, 2017) explores how it feels for private citizens to interact with journalists and become the subject of a news story. She received her PhD in Communication from Columbia University in 2013.
