The line of activities for TechIE started on the 4th of May and we hope you had a chance to register to some of the amazing activities planned for the entire first week of May!
During the 8th of May, we will be hosting our annual conference, taking place from 9:30 am until, in hybrid format.

• In line with the “New Money, New World” and "digital Experiences Matter" pillars,, we have organized this panel which will discuss the trends that are shaping the future of finance, e-commerce, and everyday transactions that are moving to 100% digital.

• In line with the Future of Mankind is Tech pillar, we have organized this panel which will discuss the trends that are shaping the future of mobility and the various challenges associated.

Juan Jose Güemes joined IE Business School in March 2010, as President of the Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation.
As Chairman of IE’s Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship he is focused on fostering the entrepreneurial spirit and creating new business and social projects. In January 2012 he was appointed VP of Economic Affairs at IE. He makes compatible this responsibility with the Chair of the Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation. Güemes is also co-Founder and member of the Board of Fundación Creaté and an early stage investor focused on FinTech, FoodTech and e-Health startups.
Francisco Dalmau

Francisco Dalmau, has been in the IT world for more than 20 years and is currently based in Madrid. He started from the first line of support, through consulting, pre-sales and sales. Francisco has always considered that the choice to start from the "bottom" has been part of who he is. A great believer that people make technology and technology should be created for people and the common good.
His international career spans cities such as Washington DC, Miami and Madrid where he has been going back and forth for a few years.
Francisco started his IT career at OTG Software where he got his start and always remembers it as his "school" acquired by Legato Systems and this became part of EMC which is now Dell Technologies. Later he created from scratch the division of NUTANIX Spain, Dell Technologies and is currently Sales International Executive at Zoom. Francisco has managed national and international sales teams and is an alumnus of IE Business School.
Among his passions are "the countryside", motorcycles and travelling.
Daniel Bedoya

Daniel M. Velazco-Bedoya has a degree in Agronomic Engineering from the University of São Paulo (Brazil), where he also completed a Master in Operations Management.
After starting his career in administration and economics, he decided to jump into entrepreneurship in the mobility sector, with the founding of a ridesharing platform in 2013 called Caronas.co. This company, which had a great success since its launch, was sold to the Rocket Internet group, where he became the Country Manager of Tripda (a group company) in Brazil for two years.
Then he made the leap to Cabify, assuming the leadership of the operations of the Spanish mobility company in Brazil since its implementation there, as Country Manager. In 2018 Daniel moved to Europe to work at Cabify, and he was promoted to Regional Manager for Europe at Cabify, a position he currently holds.

Luigi Carafa, PhD, is Chief Sustainability Officer and Head of Institutional Affairs at Zeleros Hyperloop, a transportation company that develops ultra-high speed land mobility systems for passengers and cargo.
Luigi works with government, business, civil society and finance to accelerate the development of hyperloop mobility systems. He has 13+ years of work experience in infrastructure, mobility and renewable energy within the private, public, and non-profit sectors. Extensive fieldwork in developing countries.
The WEF included hyperloop in the top 20 emerging markets that can help build an inclusive and sustainable post-pandemic economy.

Prior to Bolt, Paul has worked in both public institutions as United Nations, as well as private companies like IBM and Operations and Delivery startups for the last 10 years. Leading several teams and structures, he’s successfully managed to build solid teams, partnerships and businesses that have grown rapidly and positively over the years.
