We learn skill to discover and shape our creative imagination, and to lead others to develop and use theirs. From creativity comes innovation, disruption, and new visions of the world. How can we best lead others in this essential dimension of successful business enterprise? In our workshop, through group and paired exercises, we gain insight into leading creativity.

Sandra Comas teaches Leadership and Creativity at IE Business School and was recently a Visiting Scholar at Brown University. Professor Comas has taught at Yale, Stanford, the City University of New York, and Singapore Management University. She is a consultant in Leadership, and has worked with several organizations, including IPG Mediabrands, Gotham Asset Management, Buhler, Digital Energy, and Konstantine’s.

Sandra Comas teaches Leadership and Creativity at IE Business School and was recently a Visiting Scholar at Brown University. Professor Comas has taught at Yale, Stanford, the City University of New York, and Singapore Management University. She is a consultant in Leadership, and has worked with several organizations, including IPG Mediabrands, Gotham Asset Management, Buhler, Digital Energy, and Konstantine’s.

Recently Dr. Comas gave a TEDx talk at the Universidad de Navarra on Leonardo and the Artists: Leadership Lessons. She also presented a paper to the Transatlantic New York Conference on the Spanish explorer Álvar Núñez Cabeza de Vaca. Previously, in 2017, Dr. Comas organized an event

in the Canary Islands to mark and reconsider the 525th anniversary of Christopher Columbus's first voyage to America. Currently she is working on a series of articles on leadership in business, the arts, and history, and she is Academic Director of self-paced, multimedia leadership classes at IE.

Professor Comas has delivered lectures at a number of educational institutions, including the University of Texas at Austin, Brown University, Michigan State University, the University of Arizona, UCLA, American University, Universidad de la Laguna, and Yale. For ten years she

specialized in finance, managing $1 billion in portfolios for TIAA-CREF and working in client relations at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney. While working in the financial services industry, Dr. Comas became interested in joining the insights of the humanities with the real-life encounters of our professional and personal worlds.
