Upcoming: Speed Friends Live

We are thrilled to announce the second edition of our speed friends event this Sunday the 25th. Due to COVID-19 restrictions last semester, we conducted a speed friends event through zoom. However, this semester we have planned a speed friends event taking into consideration all restrictions due to coronavirus. The idea for this event is to connect individuals with similar interests in order to meet new friends. We know that with the current health situation making new friends can be hard, for this reason, our coordinators have planned this event with the aim of making you get out of your comfort zone and meet new people from different degrees. 

You can sign up for this event through this link on campus groups! After signing up you will have to fill out a form containing several questions regarding your interests. Later on, we will match you up with other people with similar interests. We will also give you a secret location to meet up with those people. Hope to see you there on Sunday. Book: The Fine Art of Small Talk
This book was written by Debra Fine, and presents readers with advice on how to start, keep and end a conversation successfully. Not only on a personal level but on a business setting as well. In addition, she touches on important topics such as the importance of small talk, how to break the ice, and how to join a group conversation. We invite you to check out this book as it relates to our event this Sunday. 

Podcast: Feel Better Live More
The Feel Better Live More podcast is hosted by Dr Chatterjee, whose aim is “to help 100 million people feel fantastic by restoring them to optimal health (Chatterjee, 2020).” For this week's suggestion, we want to recommend one of his episodes in which he interacts in a conversation with one of his friends, Dhru Purohit, in which they reflect on the importance of spending quality time with friends. This episode is called “Why Spending Time With Your Friends Is More Important Than You Think with Dhru Purohit,” and you can access it directly using this link. Once again, we encourage you to listen to it in order to prepare for this Sunday!
