Amira Dhalla

Amira Dhalla has spent over a decade in technology working on issues related to digital rights, gender, education, privacy, and equity with global organizations and communities. Together, she works with educators and activists to design participatory curriculum and resources to make emerging technology more inclusive, open, and safe. She currently works at Consumer Reports as the Associate Director of Engagement focused on issues like digital privacy which allow her to give people the skills and tools to protect themselves in our increasingly digital lives. Previously, she spent six years working at Mozilla Foundation as the Lead of Education, Gender, and Global Programs where she focused on creating an accessible, safe, open and innovative web for people around the world. Among her work, she has developed digital education programs in over 100 countries and collaborated on programs with UN Women, Ford Foundation, World Economic Forum, US States Department, Government of Rwanda and others. She completed her Master’s in Public Administration at Columbia University, focusing on the intersection of human rights and technology.
