Prof. Pablo Debuchy is the senior associate in charge of the corporate department of the Gross Brown Law Firm. He has extensive experience in the areas of corporate law, banking law, contracts, mergers and acquisitions, international law, administrative law, arbitration and procedural law. His experience in the public service as delegate solicitor at the Solicitor General’s Office of the Republic (2014-2017) granted him a broad vision and understanding of the national regulatory framework and public institutions, which is also reflected in his work as professor and author of several research articles with international recognition.
He is currently an assistant professor of Constitutional law and Contracts, and head professor of Legal English, at the Catholic University of Asunción, and associate professor of Private International Law at the Judicial School of Paraguay and the Association of Magistrates of Paraguay.
He is the author of several research articles on dispute resolution and integration law, including “The complementary mechanism of ICSID and its relevance for foreign investment”, published in the UCA Legal Review (2013) , “Beyond the political crisis- MERCOSUR and the need for restructuring”, in “La Ley” Review (2013), “Should an international court in charge of the review of arbitral awards be created?”, awarded with the Laureate of the Year Award of the International Academy for Arbitration Law (2016), and “The Vienna Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods in the context of MERCOSUR: A tool for greater integration?”, published in the Journal of the Permanent Court of Review of MERCOSUR (2017).
Prof. Debuchy graduated with honors at the Catholic University of Asunción (2010). In addition, he obtained the title of Master of Laws (LL.M.) in International Legal Practice and the Certificate of European Studies of IE Law School in Madrid, Spain (2012), the Postgraduate Diploma in Global Law of Fundaçao Getulio Vargas in Sao Paulo, Brazil (2012), and was awarded with the Laureate of the Year Award from the International Arbitration Academy in Paris, France (2016).
Enrique Chamorro

Enrique Chamorro works in the Corporate, Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity team in the Madrid office of DLA PIPER. Additionally, he cooperates with the Sao Paulo and Río de Janeiro offices advising clients of the Firm regarding their investments transactions in Brazil.
He previously worked in the Corporate Department of Ernst & Young, both at their Madrid and Prague offices, and in the Corporate Finance Department at the Madrid and London offices of the law firm Hammonds. His wide experience covers all areas of corporate law, mergers & acquisitions, company restructuring, and international transactions.
Enrique holds an LL.M from the Instituto de Empresa, with which he often cooperates as a member of its examination panels, and a master in Intellectual Property from IDEI-CEFI and Universidad San Pablo CEU.
He is currently a regular lecturer at the Carlos III University (Madrid) within the Private Law Department, and cooperates with a number of business schools in seminars and conferences.

Jorge Cervantes Trejo has has a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Georgetown University.
He is a member of the firm’s Steering Committee. He specializes in M&A, Project Finance, Private Equity, Energy and Infrastructure transactions. He has extensive experience and knowledge advising clients in a wide range of complex national and cross-border projects in Mexico, representing sponsors, developers, investors, financial institutions, banks, lenders and governments on all kinds of acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, projects and financings.
His experience encompasses a variety of transactional and regulatory work and has included some very relevant transactions involving oil and gas, power generation, renewable energy, petrochemicals, fuel storage facilities, LNG, pipelines, telecommunications, real estate, hotels and infrastructure projects in general.
His experience includes, amongst others:
- Represented Citigroup, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, BNP Paribas, JPMorgan Chase, and The Bank of Nova Scotia, acting as Joint Lead Arrangers and Joint Bookrunners in a simultaneous syndicated credit facility and a Rule 144A / Reg. S bond offering to allow private equity fund Actis to successfully complete its acquisition of global power-generation company InterGen’s business interests in Mexico, including the purchase of 2,200 MWs in operation with six combined-cycle power generation projects, a 155 MW wind project with partner IEnova, a 65-kilometer natural-gas pipeline, and 3 natural gas-compression stations, for an enterprise value of US$1.256 billion. This transaction was named Best Infrastructure Financing in Mexico by Latin Finance in the Project & Infrastructure Finance Awards 2018, Latin American M&A deal of the Year 2018 by IJ Global (Euromoney) and, Mexico Structured Bond Deal of the Year by GFC Media Group in the Bonds & Loans Awards 2019
- Represented Macquarie Capital and Techint, as sponsors, in the highly complex USD$1.2 billion acquisition, development and project financing of the landmark 907MW Norte III power plant in Mexico, which has a 25 year PPA the Federal Electricity Commission This transaction was named LATAM Power Deal of the Year by Project Finance International (Thompson Reuters); Latin American Power & Overall Deal of the Year by IJ Global (Euromoney); Project Finance Deal of the Year by Latin Lawyer and Best Power Financing Deal by Latin Finance in the Project & Infrastructure Finance Awards 2018
- Represented Global Infrastructure Partners, as lenders, in the security structuring and negotiation of a multimillion credit facility granted to Blue Marine Capital, for the construction of a floating, production, storage and offloading unit (FPSO) to receive solids, liquids (crude oil, reaction products and formation waters) and gases originating from Pemex oil-well operations, under a long-term multiple services agreement executed with Pemex Exploración y Producción

Sherique is a specialist in corporate law, national and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, private equity operations, capital markets, and corporate governance, besides joint ventures, corporate reorganizations, international investments, structured operations, business transactions, financial products and operations involving publicly-held companies. He has previous experience in operations concerning several sectors, in particular, automotive, banking, construction, electronics, energy, pharmaceutical, real estate, mining, oil and gas, financial services, general services, technology, telecommunications, and retail.
Is part of the Latin American & Iberian Desk of Machado Meyer, assisting some of the main Spanish and Latin American investors in Brazil.
He is a member of the Brazilian Bar Association and the New York State Unified Court System (New York State Bar)
