IE Virtual 6K - Run, Walk or Crawl!

The IE VIRTUAL 6k (3.75miles) is a run/walk for the entire IE community and beyond! We are racing virtually to raise money for a Thirst Project!

Where will this take place?
- This event is VIRTUAL! You can participate from ANYWHERE in the world via the STRAVA App! Connect with other members of the IE Community near you (respecting the social distancing guidelines in your area) and run or walk together on your favorite road, neighborhood, or trail.

Who can be a part of this?
- IE undergraduates, master’s students, alumni, business partners, family, and friends - THIS RACE IS FOR YOU!!! Students need to buy tickets on the EventBrite page (https://www.eventbrite.com/e/ie-virtual-6k-tickets-106787931578) and register themselves for the event.

Why should we a part of this?
- Many of us have been in quarantine for months! Let's come "together" for IE Spirit, Unity, and Purpose!

“ON AVERAGE, WOMEN & CHILDREN WALK 6 KILOMETERS (3.75 MILES) EVERY DAY TO FETCH WATER IN DEVELOPING COMMUNITIES.”

We will walk or run 6K in their honor while raising money to support them! We have partnered with Thirst Project, a non-profit that provides water solutions to struggling countries around the world. 100% of the race proceedings will go directly to their COVID-19 relief efforts in their countries of operation. WHEN - The race will be held ALL DAY July 11th-12th!

***Prizes will be provided for the Top 5 finishers in MADRID!***
