Welcome to the IE Winter Regatta!
o On this edition, we will be celebrating the 6th edition of the IE Winter Regatta!
o Organization: IE Sailing Club, sailing.club@ie.edu
o Dates: March 16th – 19th 2018, Friday to Monday
o Location: Puerto Calero, Lanzarote (Canary Islands, Spain)

Division A: for experienced sailors competing in J80’s!
The price includes:
o Maximum 5 people crew, students or alumni
o Boat J80, regatta and marina fees
o Lodgment at Hotel Costa Calero **** from friday march 16th to monday march 19th (the hotel is 5 min walking from the marina)
o Lodgment in triple rooms (the crews may have to share rooms with crews from other schools, depending on the distribution)
o 3 Breakfasts at Hotel Costa Calero
o 3 Dinners at Hotel Costa Calero
o 2 Sandwich Lunches (delivered on the boat)
o Access to the hotel SPA for two days to each participant
o Finally, the price also includes a fee of 2% + 0,35 euros that the IE SAILING CLUB has to pay to Paypal, so please book with your PayPal account or try to pay preferably with a EU debit or credit card!
The price does not include:
o Transportation costs (flights, taxis)
o If your crew wants to practice on Friday, the cost of the boat is for the practice day is 350 euros

Division B: For all levels of sailing experience! No previous sailing experienced required, so just come and have fun!
In Division B we are going to have mixed crews, not a full boat for each school. Division B is opened to all levels of experience!
The participation at division B is in all cases subjected to availability and allowed preferably to the schools already participating with a boat in A div.

o 8 -12 people per crew, students or alumni
o Boat fees, Regatta and marina costs
o Lodgment at Hotel Costa Calero **** from friday march 16th to monday march 19th (the hotel is 5 min walking from the marina)
o Lodgment in triple rooms

Please note that last year, the B division tickets sold out during the "early bird" dates and the A division tickets sold out during the "normal price" dates. Besides that, the earlier you book your flight ticket, the cheaper it will be, so book ASAP to garantee your spot!

Lanzarote: How to Arrive
To Lanzarote: Airport Guacimeta: Located 6km from the capital, between Arrecife and Puerto del Carmen. Belongs to the municipality of San Bartolome.
It is divided into 2 terminals:
o the T1 for flights to and from the Peninsula (from where several companies like Air Europa, Iberia and EasyJet fly on a daily basis) and flights for the rest of the world.
o the T2 for the inter-island regular flights (Binter Canarias, Canaryfly).
Puerto Calero, its marina and the hotel are located 13 km from the airport, which is less than 15 min by taxi.
Lanzarote: Eternal Spring
Lanzarote is pure geology, underwater and moonlike sites, crystal clear waters, thirsty lands, palms' oasis, it is harmonic life of man and nature. Undoubtedly a land of contrasts. It is the easternmost island of the Canary Islands, it is identified by the great amount of volcanoes that cover it due to the great volcanic activity of the early XVIII century. An eternal spring, the average annual temperature is 21 ºC, adorns each day the blue sky of Lanzarote and in the evening, the sky is dyed in the clear light of the moonshine.
