The 2017 Global MBA Trophy will take place at the Mikrolimano harbour in Piraeus, Greece on the 28th, 29th and 30th of April. You should arrive on Thursday the 27th of April for check! Note that May 1st and 2nd (Monday and Tuesday) is holiday in Madrid, so you can use this trip also to visit Athens after the days of the regatta, on sunday, monday and tuesday!!! It's the perfect combination of sailing, fun and historical sightseeing!
This is the 13th edition of the regatta. There will be 2 divisions: Division A sailing identical 25ft Platu one- design boats (up to 6 persons per boat) and Division B sailing approx 40ft boats (type tba, up to 8 persons per boat). Accomodation is ashore for Division A, and on the boats for Division B.
Division A racing one design Platu 25 racing boats.
Maximum 6 people on board. The boats will be moored at Mikrolimano.
The participation fee includes three rooms (2 people per room) at hotel in walking distance from Mikrolimano for 3 nights.
Division B racing boats tbc (approx 40 ft).
Maximum 8 people on board.
The Boats will be picked up from another marina and be moored at Microlimano.

Thursday 27th April
10:00 - A Division Boat registration and pick up opens at Mikrolimano. Check point is the Secretariat of the Yacht Club of Greece (NOE) at the far end of Mikrolimano coast. A refundable deposit of EUR500 will need to be paid. This must be paid in Cash
Note: Crew lists, two sailing licences and participation fee need to be sent to the Organising Committee prior to boat pick up.
12:00 - B Division registration and Boat pick up opens at Mikrolimano.

14:30 - Start of practice race
18:00 - Commentary on the practice race and briefing on the handling of Platu 25 boats at the Yacht Club of Greece Lower Verandah Bar
19:30 - Opening Ceremony at the Yacht Club of Greece (NOE) clubhouseFriday 28th April
08:30 – Breakfast opens at the Istioploikos restaurant on the marina for all sailors.Saturday 29th April
09:00 - Briefing and introduction to the race committee, details on the day’s event, skippers' briefing at the Istioploikos restaurant, marina level.
12:00 - Start of first race! 3 races maximum, depending on weather conditions.
19:00 - Dinner at Michelin Starred "Varoulko " restaurant in Mikorlimano
09:30 - Breakfast opens at Istioploikos restaurant on the marina for all sailors.Sunday 30th

19:30 - Start of the Award Cermony at the Yacht Club of Greece (NOE).

Spectator boats can be made available upon request at a fee for non-sailing friends and guests.
