There is now considerable scientific evidence for the idea that cognitive or deep diversity - that is, diversity in how people feel, think, and act - has significant benefits for organizations. Cognitive diversity can of course overlap with demographic (or surface) diversity, which organisations are working to seek, but the overlap is smaller than we think.
With our terrific speakers from L'Oreal, Nationale-Nederlanden, and AXA we will discuss ideas that focus on the different ways people behave and think, as well as on gender, nationality, and ethnicity. This is a moderated panel discussing issues concerning diversity in the workplace and our communities, followed by networking with some leading and accomplished business leaders from Madrid's Women in Business and LGBT communities.

I aspire to be a creative leader with relentless motivation to improve what surrounds me; somebody who aims at strong ideals and is driven to get to those. I want not to lose the curiosity on what is coming up and what people are interested in, to learn new things along the way and to help others develop and organizations add value.
I build bridges and connect the dots, those being people, organizations, customer or societal needs, technological developments, etc. And I am committed to do so in a way that adds value sustainably for the long run.
I visibly and strongly stand on my values: freedom, respect, fairness. And I want to make a positive impact around me.
I am proud to pursue all those ambitions at Nationale Nederlanden. We offer savings and investment solutions to more than half a million customers in Spain. And our professional team comprises 500 employees and 2000 financial advisors.
