IE’s Net Impact Club is honored to invite you to attend our 12th Annual Social Responsibility Forum to be held on Wednesday, 25 October 2017 from 3:45pm – 9:30pm at IE Business School in Madrid. 

For 12 years, IE’s Social Responsibility Forum has brought together industry leaders, business luminaries, environmental & social impact professionals, and top-tier students from across the globe to engage in forward-thinking dialogues around responsible business.

This year’s exciting one-day event in Madrid focuses on the theme of Driving Innovation Around Responsible Business, and consists of a series of speakers, expert roundtables, hands-on workshops, and networking opportunities.

Besides personal initiatives and being in Chamonix as much as possible, continued professional course in few different law departments, focusing on copyright, patents, trademark, contractual and competition issues.

10 years at Creaholic, as a partner, bringing a solid know-how in partnership (via contracts and licensing mainly) and entrepreneur spirit by taking care of team set-up, contributing in turning project into business.

Since mid 2016, it was the natural and motivational path then to “revamp” Gjosa from the collaboration Creaholic had with a multinational company and gather all the founders and team to market the first generation of Gjosa technology in 2018.

Antonio Espinosa is a spanish architect and Founder & CEO of Auara, a social enterprise with the mission of bringing clean water to people in developing countries through the sales of water bottles, produced with 100% recycled material. Antonio has led Auara to its success since its foundation nearly 2.5 years ago. Today, Auara is distributed across Spain, from El Corte Ingles or Carrefour to the country's most prominent restaurants. In October 2017, Auara's success was celebrated with their selection for Forbe's 30under30. Their current impact includes more than 7.000 people with access to clean water, 22 Kg of plastic recycled and 37.000 liters of petrol saved.

Assylbek Kozhakhmetov is one of the founders of the first business school in Kazakhstan – Almaty School of Management, established in 1988, later transformed into International Academy of Business (IAB). In 2014 IAB was awarded University status and a new name, Almaty Management University (AlmaU).

In 2011, he received the degree of "Doctor in Business Administration" at Higher School of Management of National Research University "Higher School of Economics" (Moscow). He started his teaching career at the Department of "Mechanics of the continuous environment" at KazSU named after S. M. Kirov, then worked as a teacher at the managers school at Kazakh national organization "Union". He attended specialized management training at training centers in Germany, France, UK, Belgium, Holland, Hungarian and Estonia. In 2013 Dr. Kozhakhmetov got a scholarship of the state program "Bolashak" and held scientific training at Business School Haas of University of California Berkeley (USA). He is speaker and moderator at national and international forums.

Dr Kozhakhmetov is the author of over 60 scientific publications on management development and education.

Currently he is a Board member of CEEMAN (international Association for management development in dynamic societies), member of Business Council under Almaty city government, co-chairman of KFMD (Kazakhstan Fund of management development).
His awards and titles include the award of "People to People International" international organization, USA – "Torch of Birmingham" (1997), sign "Excellent specialist of education of the Republic of Kazakhstan" (1998), the Medal of Bayan "Olgiy aimak", Mongolia (2010), jubilee medal for the 20th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan (2011), order "Kurmet" (2013), order of NPP "Atameken" I and II degree "For loyalty to business" (2013-2014), award of International Association for management development in dynamic societies CEEMAN Champion Award in the category of "Institutional management" (2014), title of certified consultant for management of mass media (2015) and the title of Honorary Professor of Academy of public administration under the President of Kyrgyz Republic (2017).

After a highly successful 30-year career in corporate banking and asset management (in South America, the United States, Europe and Asia) Brazilian-born Ed Morata launched his solo career as an international investment advisor, specializing in impact investing. Ed Morata is an outspoken advocate for social entrepreneurship and a thought leader in the emerging world of new capitalism or conscious capitalism, niche concepts that Ed believes are destined to evolve into powerful mainstream ideas.

Ed Morata started his career as a public speaker in 2000, where, as part of his responsibilities at Santander Group, he delivered speeches on investing, human resources management, foreign trade and corporate social responsibility (CSR). Soon after, he went from speaking in front of in-house audiences of up to 500 people to giving talks to individual, corporate and institutional clients, as well as participating as a guest speaker at renowned U.S. universities such as the University of Massachusetts Boston, George Washington University, Brandeis University, Tufts and Princeton.

Ed is currently a partner at Eneas Alternative Investments, an asset manager specialized in opportunistic niche investments in the Iberian Peninsula, and CEO at Eneas International. He combines those roles with that of President of Lug Healthcare Technology, a med-tech company specialized in the management and control of administering medications at hospitals and conducting clinical trials.

Ed holds a Master’s degree in International Economic Relations Law from the Catholic University of São Paulo, Brazil. He also completed studies at the University of Ottawa and São Paulo State University, Brazil; as well as at IESE and INSEAD business schools.
After working at Citibank, ING and Banco SRL, he joined Spanish banking giant Santander Group in 1996. At Santander, he was part of the team designated to merge several banking institutions acquired by Santander in Brazil, with a special focus on the acquisition of Banco do Estado de São Paulo– Banespa. He also held various senior positions, including general manager of Santander Asset Management Brazilian operations (2000-2007) and subsequently the U.S. corporate banking operations (2010-2013), where he made important operational and financial improvements.

In addition, he was Chief of Staff at Santander’s US division. There, he began focusing on the organization’s CSR, hence his efforts to raise awareness about the "triple bottom line" -financially, socially and environmentally sustainable companies– and his active involvement in civil society through the boards of various NGOs.

César Muñoz holds a BsC in Enviromental Sciences from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, a Diploma in Corporate Communications from Instituto de Empresa and a MsC in Project Management from CSEU-Lasalle.

He is currently working as Senior Manager in the Sustainability & Climate Change team at PwC Spain. He has over 15 years of experience working on a range of Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects with a focus on areas such as Sustainability and Integrated Reporting, Stakeholders Engagement, Development of CSR Strategies and Social Contribution Initiatives Management. During these years, he has collaborated with important Spanish and international companies in sectors like Health and Insurance, Real Estate, Retail, Food and Beverages, Banking, Construction, Utilities, Oil and Gas and Corporate Foundations .

Before joining PwC, he worked for organizations such as UNICEF, KPMG Spain, Fundación Entorno - BCSD Spain or Instituto Cerdà.

Lidia del Pozo is Director of Community Investment Programs at BBVA, a global financial group headquartered in Spain with a diversified business portfolio providing financial services in 35 countries, with over 130.000 employees and more than 70 million customers.

She joined BBVA in 2006 and she is responsible, among others, for the Global Financial Education Program, and the support & training programs for SMEs and social entrepreneurs such as BBVA Momentum. She also manages the volunteering and educational programs at the group.

From 1999 to 2006, Lidia was Executive Director at The Spain – US Chamber of Commerce a private, US, non-profit membership organization based in New York and dedicated to fostering trade and investment relations between Spain and the United States. From this position she advised and supported Spanish companies in their setting up process in the US.

Previously she worked as Project Manager in several organizations such as the European Institute of Public Administration, in Maastricht, the Netherlands, where she cooperated in economic development projects and legal implementation processes.

Lidia has a Law Degree from the University of Deusto (Spain) where she also received a postgraduate Degree on European Studies. Additionally she obtained a Master on European and International Comparative Law (LLM) at the University of Maastricht (The Netherlands).

Pablo Santaeufemia is the CEO and co-founder of Bridge for Billions, collaborative web-based incubation program designed to help entrepreneurs through the critical stages of bringing a new product or service to life. The mission of Bridge for Billions is to make entrepreneurship ecosystems more efficient, transparent and inclusive. A native of Madrid, he holds an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from Brown University and two master’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering and in Technology Innovation Management from Carnegie Mellon University.

Pablo has worked in both for- and non-profit organizations in India, China and Thailand during his studies, and after graduation, he worked as a consultant in China and at the United Nations Industrial Development Organization in Vienna. Pablo is fluent in English, Chinese and Spanish. An international engineer by trade and an entrepreneur by nature, Pablo’s desire to democratize access to entrepreneurial resources for less fortunate entrepreneurs has been the driving force behind the development of Bridge for Billions.

This year he has been named BBVA Momentum Entrepreneur, Young Social Entrepreneur and Forbes 30 under 30.

Koiki is a last mile network that enables people coming from disadvantage collectives to work as postmen/postwomen or messengers, delivering parcels to or picking them up from their neighbours, walking or biking very short distances from their homes or local stores.

Concepción is an Economist by Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. She holds a Master in Public Administration and International Development by Harvard Kennedy School. Concepción holds a PhD in International Economy and Development by Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Her PhD research focuses on the use of technology in social entrepreneurship. She has published papers in peer reviewed journals and chapters in books. She writes contributions for mass media regularly and is a speaker at international conferences. Her past professional experience includes the foundation of an NGO, UN’s Procurement Service, Santander Bank’s Latin America Division and Liberia’s Government under Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, Nobel Peace Prize 2011.

Nowadays, Professor López-Escorial focuses her efforts on expanding and implementing the concept of “business at the bottom of the pyramid and social innovation”. “Businesses at the bottom of the pyramid, well executed, are one of the most efficient tools we can think of, at the moment, to help alleviate poverty. Previously, she was in charge of helping to develop the commercial and business strategy for Fundación Microfinanzas BBVA, and its network of 9 microfinance institutions in 7 Latin American countries that serve customers at the bottom of the pyramid.

Professor López-Escorial has developed her professional experience in three continents and performed field work in several countries among others; Perú, Colombia, Chile, Argentina, Panama, Bolivia, Guatemala, The Philippines, Mali and Ghana.
