Diversity and inclusion has been used quite frequently over the past several years, and for good reason. However, many people do not realize the impact and depth that diversity and inclusion has on their daily life, including in the workplace, social settings, and the financial structure many maneuver everyday -- capitalism. Come explore the relationship between capitalism and diversity & inclusion as we dive into the interconnectedness of the two.

Wanjiku Ngare's profile photo

Wanjiku Ngare

A graduate of Georgetown University, Wanjiku Ngare has spent her early career in the social impact space within sustainability and international development. The desire to contribute to her local and global communities drives her academic and professional experiences. She is currently a student at Harvard University's Graduate school of Design in the Master of Urban Planning program, with a concentration in urban design. As a student, Wanjiku is challenging and expanding what it means to truly center the experiences of those at the margins and to value 'unlearning' as much as 'learning'. She believes that the choices we (as a collective) make in both spatial and nonspatial realms should be deliberately informed by an equity lens and historical perspective.
