AUARA

https://www.linkedin.com/in/pablo-urbano-085250a6/

Pablo Urbano is passionate about social entrepreneurship. During his university studies in engineering he worked at Integra-E, where he learnt about the viability of social enterprises.

Along with his school friend, Antonio Espinosa, they conceived the idea of AUARA after one of their volunteering experiences in Ethiopia, when building a school for the Foundation Amigos de Silva. They realized one of the main causes of illnesses at the hospital was the lack of safe water in the area.

Since 2016, AUARA is been selling water bottles in Spain in order to finance water access projects around the world. Its goal is to bring water to more than 200,000 people in the next 5 years, having a great impact in their lives. Today you can see their impact through the QR codes in all of their bottles.

As of now, AUARA has 37 projects in 15 different countries, with more than 24k people having access to water and almost 2k that have access to toilets. In doing so, it is disrupting the industry with sustainable packaging, with more than 5 million bottles recycled to sell AUARA water, totaling 120,000 kg of plastic.
