It is very important for successful entrepreneurs to be able to convince people about your idea. Initially, influencing was perceived as an innate skill – you’re either born with it or not. We know, however, what makes people more persuasive and we can learn how to be more persuasive ourselves. Influencing is a process which takes many tactics and its effectiveness depends on many external factors. Entrepreneurs should also be aware that many of the tactics are based on psychological biases which we all share – being mindful of these biases will make them better influencers and will help them avoid giving up too easily on their convictions when others try to persuade them. After the session, you will have a strong foundation of various influencing tactics, biases, among others which you could use to persuade people to your point of view.

Professor Singh is English of Indian origin, resident in Madrid, Spain. He is a Business & Finance graduate who also studied a Masters in Mediation from the University of London. He has extensive experience leading business, social, cultural, media and technology projects in Spain and internationally. Currently, he is a Board Member and Director at BOOSTER Space Industries and AERDRON, an innovative international Sub-Orbital Space/Aerospace project and UAV/Drone Consultancy with important stakeholders in Spain, Europe and the US. He is an Associate Professor at IE and a qualified and experienced trainer, giving sessions globally on Leadership, Team Management and Motivation, Innovation Culture, Mediation/Conflict Resolution Skills, Entrepreneurship and the New Commercial Space Industry.
