De-bunking the mystery of Impact Investing. What’s real, what’s noise and what are the opportunities and challenges in attracting this kind of capital to complex societal needs.
The words “impact investing” means different things to different people and has become a catch phrase for a new and elusive form of capital. Impact investors complain that there are too few impact deals and entrepreneurs with deals complain their is no real impact dollars. The truth is that both views are real.
In this lecture, Professor Bildner will share case examples of successful deployment of impact dollars as well as give students an overview of the ecosystem that surrounds it.
Jim is one of the foremost experts and practitioners of impact investing in the world, nationally recognized lecturer, panelist, and speaker on nonprofit organizations, social enterprise, capitalization and the institutional role of philanthropy in solving complex societal issues.
