Industrial engineering background, Mikel García-Prieto has been linked to Triodos Bank from its foundation in Spain.

He has previously held several senior positions, such as Deputy Risk Director, Business Banking Director and Head of Corporate Banking, and has also been at the front of the Madrid regional office. García-Prieto has strongly contributed to the development of the loan portfolio in Spain, and he has driven the first investments of Triodos Bank in the solar energy sector.

He is a member of the International Management Committee of Triodos Group. Mikel García-Prieto is chair of the Management Board of Triodos Bank in Spain and chairs the Triodos Foundation in Spain. He is also member of the Supervisory Board of the impact equity crowdfunding company La Bolsa Social.
