As part of the 1st IE Humanities Week, the IE School of Architecture & Design invites you to the talk Framing space: images and architecture, by the Architectural Photographer Whit Preston.
This short talk explores the important relationship of photography within architecture; and how some of today’s most innovative and interesting architectural projects utilize the visual arts and photography as part of a modern visual discourse

Whit Preston

Architectural Photographer

Whit Preston grew up in Honolulu and studied photography at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. Since graduating, he has pursued both commercial photography and fine art, working for 11 years in Los Angeles, spending nearly 6 years of that working in-house for the architect Frank O. Gehry as their full time photographer. Prior to moving to Austin, he worked for 4 years in New Zealand, photographing for various magazines and clients
