We are pleased to invite you to attend the book presentation of Yours Truly, the new book of Margarita Mayo, which will be held in Velzquez 130 next February 28th, 2018.
Margarita Mayo is an award-winning researcher and professor of leadership and organizational behaviour at IE Business School in Madrid. She is a leading expert on how we can find passion and purpose, and become more authentic in leadership and life. She has been recognized as one the world´s 30 most influential management thinkers to watch in 2017 by Thinkers 50 and was shortlisted for the Thinkers 50 Leadership Award, the Oscars of management thinking (for more information please visit click here)
Yours Truly draws on a host of inspirational examples from executives of multinational corporations to political leaders and sports leaders, as well as more than two decades of research, in order to examine and explain the missing link in research into authentic leadership: how leaders strive for success, excellence and constant renewal, whilst remaining true to one’s self.
Margarita Mayo introduces the three characteristics – Heart, Habits and Harmony – which differentiate authentic from non-authentic leaders. Presented in a practical framework, the book provides a measurable guide to developing your own authentic power:

Margarita Mayo
Margarita Mayo is an award-winning researcher and professor of leadership and organizational behaviour at IE Business School in Madrid. She is a leading expert on how we can find passion and purpose, and become more authentic in leadership and life. She has been recognized as one the world´s 30 most influential management thinkers to watch in 2017 by Thinkers 50 and was shortlisted for the Thinkers 50 Leadership Award, the Oscars of management thinking.
She is the author of Yours Truly: Staying Authentic in Leadership and Life (Bloomsbury, 2018). She is a Fulbright Alumni of Harvard University and has been a visiting professor at some of the world’s leading business schools such as the Ivey School of Business in Canada, ESMT in Berlin and Lancaster University in the UK.
Margarita has presented her original research at international conferences worldwide. Her articles appear in management publications such as Harvard Business Review and Financial Times as well as in top academic journals.
Margarita was educated in Europe and the United States. She earned a B.A. in Psychology from Universidad Autonoma in Madrid, magna cum laude with highest honors; an M.A. in Psychology from Clark University; and a Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior from the State University of New York at Buffalo (where her thesis on leadership and diversity was a finalist in the Best Dissertation Award in the United States). Outside of work, she practices triathlon and ballroom dancing.
