What was once only possible in large corporations or by governments can now be achieved by smaller businesses and teams.
When William Gibson wrote in 2003 that “The future is already here – it's just not evenly distributed" not even he would have expected how much change has taken place in the subsequent years.
We are still working out exactly how and when it will happen but in the coming years, we will see technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Synthetic Biology and 3D Printing solve problems in areas such as energy, education, water, food and health
