As part of the current MRED (Master in Real Estate Development) edition field trip to Lisbon, Professor Miguel Judas will give a talk on “Understanding Lisbon”, on March 22nd at 19:30.

IE University architecture professor Miguel Judas, will cover Lisbon’s geography, urban history and current trends.


Professor Miguel Judas Bio

Miguel Judas, got his degree in Architecture in Faculty of Architecture of Universidade Lusíada de Lisboa (PT) in 1994.
He taught Design Studio in the universities Lusófona and Moderna, in Lisbon, between 1996 and 2007.
In 2006 he completed a Course of advanced studies in "Modern and Contemporary Architectural Culture" from the Faculty of Architecture of the Universidade de Lisboa (PT).
Since 2016 he teaches Professional Ethics at IE University.
Worked with several architecture offices since 1991, founded “Antárctico, arquitectura", in 1996, and "Miguel Judas, arquitecto” in 2002, where he continues his professional practice.
He was a member of the Lisbon and Tagus Valley team of the Survey on the 20th century Architecture in Portugal (iap20), promoted by the Portuguese Order of Architects, 2004-2005. He was a Member of the National Board of the Portuguese Order of Architects, 2008-2010 and 2011-2013.
He served as Member of the Technical Committee of the Iberian Docomomo, from 2009 to 2017, and as Vice-President, from 2013 to 2015.
He is a member the General Assembly of Docomomo International since from 2014.
