At this session, participants will gain a new understanding of key aspects of entrepreneurial thinking, including the role of intuition in finding opportunities, decision making in contexts of risk and uncertainty, and generating novel ideas.

Peter Bryant is a Professor of Entrepreneurship at IE Business School in Madrid where he teaches in the MBA, doctoral and executive education programs. He began his academic career in Sydney, Australia, after earning his PhD in Management there. During the preceding fifteen years, Peter worked as a manager in the airline, banking, consulting, and the venture capital industries, as well as a software start-up. He subsequently managed the commercialization of new technologies through the creation of spinoff companies at The University of Sydney, Australia. In this role, he accomplished successful IPOs and VC deals.
His research is published in many leading academic journals, as well as professional outlets including the online editions of the Harvard Business Review and The Economist. Peter recently co-edited and contributed to the volume on organizations and management for Elsevier´s new encyclopaedia of the Social and Behavioral Sciences.
