Details

International Women's Day means different things to different people. For some it's a celebration, for others it's a call to action to accelerate gender parity, and for many it's an opportunity to make a positive difference through their actions.
 
Whatever your objective, join us in celebrating the accomplishments of women worldwide and to discuss milestones of the future that we will face!
 
On our panel will feature the participation of some women and men (IE alumni and IE students) at different professional stages, to discuss the real challenges and of course successes that they have experienced.

Valeria is the eCommerce & Omni-channel Director and a member of the steering committee at fashion retail brand Adolfo Dominguez, a publicly traded company founded in 1976 with 650 boutiques in 35 countries. She is currently enrolled in Harvard Business School´s executive MBA.

Valeria is an award winning speaker on digital strategy and attends all major international eCommerce conferences.

I´ve been working in the Media Industry for more than ten years now, where my curiosity about Internet Services quickly arose. Passionate about New Technologies, both personal and professional, I had the luck of being part of Meetic Group (IAC/MATCH Group), after other native digital media background, managing online and mobile acquisition channels and partnerships. I became Meetic´s Spain&Portugal Business Developer in September this year, based in Madrid. My challenge now is bring growth the Company through other ways besides our core business, and of course, empower singles to make significant connections. As a women, I strongly believe in our leadership capabilities and our will to change things from the inside.

Nitida Pastor is a pharmacist and Cum Laude in Pediatrics by the Autonomous University of Madrid. It is also an MBA from IE business school. Currently working on Mead Johnson with responsibility for Medical Affairs Europe. She has directed more than 45 projects and participated in numerous seminars related to the development of business and Child Nutrition. Scientific publications are focused on LCPUFAS, DHA and Immunity. In 2003 she launched Medical Education Programs in Spain, expanding later to the rest of Europe, and at present running through the rest of the world. In 2006 she published the first article showing the impact of DHA in the respiratory infections in babies with a cohort of 1357 babies. She collaborates with the University of Harvard, and IE mentoring scientific projects. Recently she has published a book about the “Popular use of Medicinal herbs”, that was the bestseller in Madrid Fair book.

Rolando is Computer Engineer postgraduate in Strategic Marketing Management and Innovation Management, Executive MBA candidate, with 10+ years of professional experience, working for leading technology companies such as Microsoft and currently Accenture.

Rolando had the opportunity to work for projects in Europe, Asia and Latin America countries in different roles doing Sales, Pre-Sales, Marketing Strategy, Business Development, IT Strategy and Program/Project Management consulting for Multi-Sector Customers.

Rolando has experience in different sizes companies (start-ups, small, medium and large corporations), giving him the opportunity to learn to be flexible, adaptable, take on different roles, and carry out projects in more than 11 countries.

Over the years, he has had the opportunity to live in four countries: Switzerland, Chile, Portugal and Spain, allowing him to learn how to adapt the changing environment and different organizational cultures, as well how to lead multi cultural teams.
