Javier Bernad

BIO: Javier Bernad is the founder of Speak & Span, a training center in Public Speaking skills. Javier has been training managers on how to be fantastic presenters since 1998. Speak & Span offers public, in-company, and personal training sessions.
Javier’s mission is to help managers break their barriers to public speaking. We can all become more confident, dynamic, and persuasive presenters, to shine in our professional and personal lives.

Before launching Speak & Span, Javier was CEO of MediaCom España, one of the largest worldwide advertising media planning agencies, part of the WPP group. He was previously Managing Director of Mediaedge: cia, an advertising media planning agency belonging to the same group.
Javier is an associate professor of Communication Skills at IE Business School, and of Marketing at Universidad Europea. His professional experience spans companies like Procter & Gamble, British American Tobacco and Buongiorno.
Javier holds a Master’s Degree in Corporate Communications from Universidad Complutense, a Bachelor’s Degree in Law and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from ICADE, E-3. He is also a certified trainer in Public Speaking by Succesworks, is a member of Toastmasters International, and is a PADI Australia diving Instructor. He has published Alto y Claro, a book on the keys to public speaking with confidence, eloquence and enthusiasm, with LID Editorial.
