Talk Description: The aim of the session is to frame and take the concept of Digital Transformation down to Earth; making it tangible, graspable, actionable and of direct application to the interests and needs of participants. Participants will be able to understand the context and identify opportunities and threats for established companies. Then, they’ll be told the methodologies and tools required for taking informed strategic and business decisions in this new environment, through organic and inorganic alternatives, identify trends and best practices of Digital Transformation and gain an understanding of new customer relationships and their demands for digital solutions |

Marcos Eguillor
Marcos has worked in the digital arena since 1999, in the Internet, telecommunications, mobile, apps, software, media and broadcast, videogames, e-learning, social media, Internet of Things, gamification and consulting verticals, among others. He has played international leading roles in corporate and business development, strategy, transformation, innovation, product/service design and development, project anagement and technology projects and activities. He is the founder and managing partner of the Innovation as a Service resultancy firm BinaryKnowledge_ (www.binaryknowledge.com), focused on business model, product innovation and digital transformation. He has co-founded, invested, advised, mentored and/or played an interim role in more than twenty companies and startups since 2006, such as IdeaFoster (ideas consultancy), Tequila Works (videogames), Velneo (SaaS ERP engine), Insulclock (IoT ehealth), Wonnova (gamification), VisualBox (content marketing), Things2Help (social digital marketplace) or Pensumo (collaborative economy and shared consumption loyalty program), among others. Marcos is adjunct professor at the IE Business School, evaluator of FP7 and Horizon2020 – European Commission DG Connect calls, member of the Internet of Things Council, advisor to the IMAN foundation and volunteer of the Spanish Red Cross. He has been Vice-President of the organization in Madrid, member of the board of the Spanish Association of Telecommunication Engineers and representative at the Spanish
Engineering Institute.
He holds a MSc. in Telecommunication Engineering, Executive MBA, candidate Ph.D. and Project Management Professional certified. He got a Torres Quevedo grant as researcher by the Ministry of Innovation and Science of Spain from 2010 to 2012. Telefónica I+D Prize for Innovation in 1999, Best Entrepreneurship Mentor of the IE Business School in 2013 and Teaching Excellence in Entrepreneurship at IE University in
2015.
