Considered one of the foremost references in Employability and the Future of Work on a global scale, Dr. Wigmore Álvarez is Executive Director of Career Services for IE Business School, IE Law School and IE University. She teaches on a range of career topics and conducts workshops for Human Resources professionals worldwide on topics including succession planning, diversity, inclusion and the use of neuroscience and gamification for recruiting.
In 2013, Dr. Wigmore Álvarez created and led the Career Services Steering Committee for the EFMD, which acts as a catalyst to enhance excellence in management education and development globally, is a member of the MBA Career Services & Employer Alliance Standards Committee (USA), as well as a member of the Board of Directors of HigherEd – The Global Talent Network (Norway). In addition to her role at IE, as Co-Founder of Wigmore & Álvarez, Dr. Wigmore Álvarez regularly conducts courses on “Intercultural Management” and “Doing Business in Spain” for foreign executives in Spain at major multinational companies. She holds an International MBA from IE, as well as a BA in Hispanic Studies and International Economics from Wheaton College (Norton, Massachusetts), where she received a largely feminist education, which has driven her on her mission to empower women in their careers.

She collaborates with several Universities globally and is a regular speaker at international conferences of Industrial and Organizational Psychology, Personnel Selection, and Cognitive Psychology.
