For most professionals, excellent performance is not enough to deliver career progress. It certainly does not protect us from “job accidents”.  The key to a successful mid-career is to refresh you view of what you want and create a strategy to get there.

In this full-day workshop Daniel Porot, one of Europe’s leading experts in career design, shows how you can target your next fulfilling step (and what you can do if obvious opportunities for progress are blocked), how you can learn to value and communicate your achievements and how you can persuade gatekeepers and stakeholders.

The workshop covers:
  • Career design – how to target and identify a fulfilling next step;
  • How to value your past achievements and communicate them (avoiding boasting and excessive humility);
  • How to expand your network and avoid networking mistakes;
  • 15 ways to increase your visibility inside your organisation;
  • The five people who can help you make your move and how to approach them (hint: rarely your direct superior);
  • Exploring the (external) hidden job market.
At the end of the full-day workshop all participants will have an action plan for moving forward and accelerating their career.  Also Daniel will spell out the typical obstacles faced and show two or more ways to work around them.

IE alumni can register at a discounted rate of £160 at: https://acceleratingyourcareer.eventbrite.co.uk/?access=IEalum
(use code “IEalum” if discounted ticket does not show)
